We're Looking for Play Experts for BridgeWay's Busy Box Project!
November 12, 2021
Calling all play experts! Do you have a child 0 to 6 years of age? Join the BridgeWay Busy Box Project to learn more about play from play experts themselves – your children! Twenty families will receive a FREE BridgeWay Busy Box filled with a collection of specially curated loose parts and open-ended materials that can be used in your child’s play. With these toys, you will help show families everywhere the importance of play by sending us photos and videos of your children playing to post on our website and social media!
To enter, subscribe to our newsletter and complete the form in your welcome email.
The form must be completed by November 22nd at 11:45pm (entries submitted after this time will not be considered). All families must be living in the Region of Peel and have a child 0 to 6 years of age. Participants must be able to pick up the Busy Box from our Brittany Glen, Heart Lake, Streetsville or Turtle Creek locations. Twenty families will be randomly selected and notified by November 24th.
When you submit the form, your entry is complete!

What is a BridgeWay Busy Box?
It’s a collection of specially curated objects that will help families learn and understand that toys and play don’t need to be complicated – the simplest of things can be fun while still providing lots of learning opportunities. The contents of the box (and even the box itself) can all be considered toys; these toys are what we call loose parts and open-ended materials (see below).
We want to show you and families everywhere what we see when children play with these loose parts and open-ended materials. To do this we need 20 families that are interested in learning more about their child’s play and would like to participate in our Busy Box project.
There is no cost involved; each box is free! We just ask that each family that receives a box takes photos and videos of your child or children playing with the contents of the kit to send to us.
We will then use your photos/videos on our social media platforms to describe the amazing things that we see happening. We hope that by doing this we can encourage and inspire families to provide more opportunities for their child to play with loose parts and open-ended materials and answer your questions about toys and play.
How Do I Get a Box?
We are only able to provide 20 boxes so unfortunately, we are not able to give a box to everyone that is interested. However, if this sounds like something you would like to take part in, please subscribe to our newsletter and complete the form in your welcome email. We will notify you on November 24th if your family has been selected to participate.
We hope you’ll join us in showing families everywhere the importance of play!
