Resources for Moms with New Babies
December 30, 2020
Looking for resources for new moms and moms of new babies?
Welcoming a new baby into your family is an exciting time filled with plenty of cuddles, laughter, sweetness, and joy. Still, there is no doubt that babies present many new challenges, especially right now.
We are here to help you connect with other moms and navigate the highs and lows of parenting a baby.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or anxious at home with your little one? You’re not alone. 1 in 5 mothers experience a Postpartum Mood Disorder after the birth or adoption of a new baby.
If you have any concerns about changes in your mood or well-being, we are here to talk. Email PMD@bridgewaycentre.ca for free, confidential support and resources.
Please note that our services are not monitored 24/7. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call the 24/7 Crisis Support Line run by Canadian Mental Health Association’s Peel Dufferin branch at 905-278-9036. See our mental health resource list for other urgent and non-urgent mental health services in Peel.
Join BridgeWay staff and other first time mothers to discuss your birth experience and challenges in adjusting to parenthood during this unique time. Moms with infants aged 0-9 months can join this free online workshop series.
The next six-week You and Your Baby workshop beginning Wednesday, January 27th is now open for registration!
Online Mom’s Chat is a casual discussion group for mothers with infants and children aged 0-24 months. Join us through Zoom to share your thoughts about parenting, ask questions, and meet other moms!
Parents with infants aged 0-12 months can drop in through Zoom for this interactive sing-along program! Children will begin to learn social skills, communication, and language through music while bonding with you. Families will also have the opportunity to connect and support each other.
This free 5-session online program gives participants the opportunity to learn the art of infant massage while promoting the bond between infant and parent or caregiver. The program is designed for infants who are not yet mobile.
As always, we offer free programs for children up to 6 years of age and their families. You can see all our upcoming programs on our Schedules page. Or, learn more about how our programs have helped moms form lifelong friendships.
