Fun and Easy Play Idea for Babies!
All you need is a whisk and some dish cloths or socks! Stuff the dish cloths or socks into the whisk for your baby to grab and pull. As they do this, they will be using their small hand and finger muscles to grab onto the cloth as well as their large arm and shoulder muscles to pull it out of the whisk.
Why Play?
When your child plays, they are developing life-long skills that will help them to create and maintain healthy relationships, make decisions, develop effective communication skills, work independently and with others, and develop healthy habits.
Babies play in ways that may not look like play. Watching your facial expressions, observing people and objects around them, listening to your voice, kicking their feet, and grabbing a toy are just some ways that babies are learning through play! Read more about how babies and children (birth to 6 years) learn through play!
