Job Summary

The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for personnel management, including recruiting, interviewing, employee placement, employee relations and overseeing employee payroll and benefits. Additional duties will include organizing and overseeing training and development for employees and managing policies, procedures and conflicts. The Specialist will oversee approximately 115 employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the recruitment process including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and facilitating the finalization of employment offer letters.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, benefits enrollment, training, and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with conflict resolution, employee coaching, and performance improvement plans.
• Support employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
• Administer employee benefit programs including health, retirement, and wellness plans.
• Assist finance in ensuring all employee records are correct and compliant.
• Assist CEO in ensuring HR practices are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist CEO with updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures as needed.
• Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Support performance management processes by tracking evaluation deadlines and collecting necessary documents.
• Monitor trends in employee turnover, satisfaction, and engagement.
• Assist in identifying training needs and organizing appropriate programs.
• Investigate and maintain records of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
• Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist, Specialist or in a similar HR role.
• Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR operations.

Job Type

Full-Time, permanent, 8 hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, flexible

Starting Salary

$75,000-$83,000 based on related skills and experience
