Celebrate Indigenous Cultures with Songs and Stories

Songs and stories are a great way to learn about and celebrate all cultures. We’ve gathered songs, picture books and educational videos by Indigenous creators to help you and your child learn more about and to celebrate Indigenous cultures!

Dim the Lights

You and your child can explore the centre with reduced sensory stimulation during Dim the Lights. In this program, we keep the centre as quiet as possible by playing calming music (or no music at all), removing loud toys, and singing softly during circle time. Lights are dimmed, less materials are out and fidget toys are available. Children who are often overwhelmed by lots of noise and lights, who take time to adjust to a new space, or just want a quiet place to play may especially enjoy this program.
